Green Room

This page should have info about the Green Room such as:

  • Staff schedule
  • Hours of Green Room
    • Friday 10 am - 9 pm (often a soft open - registration and badge pickup, plus simple grab and go snacks/drinks.  Real food for lunch.)
    • Saturday 8 am - 9 pm (open at least 1hr before first 'real' panel)
    • Sunday 8 am - 3 pm  (open at least 1hr before first 'real' panel)
  • Services provided 
    • Pick-up of badges, etc for All Panelists
    • Point of contact for all panelists for any issues they are having 
    • Food and drink provided for Invited Panelists
    • Create a welcoming environment for panelists/pros to relax, recharge, and refuel so they can make our con shine. 
    • Back office for Programming 

 

  • Registration: 
    • Dedicated staff to doorkeep and handle registration, packets, and questions. (TomC & John P-W primary)
    • IF room is ready enough, and materials are present, can do soft reg-open Thrusday evening while we work food prep in back.  Depends on access to materials, badges, and room. 
    • Prompt response to issues and questions

        • Also, there are many pros who bring allergy specific foods, keep those foods separate and safe and available on demand for those who need.

      • Meals (sandwiches, etc) always available, but may need to be requested from staff, we can only safely keep food out so long.  (Remember signage to that effect, this year) 

 

 

  • Environment
    • Create a welcoming environment. Mixed seating: couches, chairs, small tables, and big dining table. 
    • Keep traffic flow open.
    • Regularly police area for stray trash, call banquets to empty large cans when they are  2/3-3/4 full.
    • Keep change of linens and refresh when needed.
