Other details that will need to be worked out is:

Quantity - Consult with the Chair about how many of the Souvenir Book and Pocket Program should be printed. Example: O41 had 800 Souvenir Books and 1200 Pocket Programs printed.

 

Page Count - Page layout and content suggestions are outlined in the Pocket Program and Souvenir Book pages. Adjustments are made based on Ad Sales. Prices for Program Book Ad Rates are based on the cost to add printed pages to the books. If printing costs increase, it would be a good idea to reevaluate the ad cost. 

 

Payment method - Lithtex prefers that we create an account with them but that requires a credit check and there were issues with that last year so we didn't set it up. Paying by credit card will cost an extra 4% fee (a reason to set aside an extra money in the budget). Mailing them a check is an acceptable method of payment (1/2 of total charge is required to be paid prior to printing).

 

Leadtime on printing - Going with Lithtex leadtime should not be a problem. If we go with another printer that requires extra shipping and this could pull all the schedule dates in as much as one month (was the case with Sunshine Printing).

 

Delivery - It worked out well that the boxes of books were delivered at the hotel vs storage locker. Hotel Liaison and Logistics needs to be notified. Delivery should be scheduled for the afternoon of Wed, Nov 18th or morning of Thurs, Nov 19th to hotel (Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront 1401 SW Naito Pkwy, Portland, OR 97201).
